Age 5 living with father Edmund, mother Celia née Bateman, brothers Edmund J 22, employed as a lithographic printer, Frank 21, employed as a traveller for a printer, Evelyn H 15, apprentice to a whitesmith and Charles B 7, sisters Lilla Celia 13, and Florence M 10. His grandparents, the Batemans, were also still living in the same house. They lived on Main Road, Radcliffe on Trent.
