Baptised 12th July 1888 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Radcliffe

Married 3rd June 1915 to Eliza Mary Fall at the Primitive Methodist Church, Oakham, Rutland

Died 25th November 1952 aged 64. Buried in Radcliffe cemetery

1891 Census

Age 3 living with father John, 40, a labourer and mother Annie, 36, both born in Radcliffe on Trent and siblings Elizabeth 13, John 7, Arthur 4, and Ernest 1. They lived in Radcliffe on Trent.

1901 Census

Age 13 employed as a nursery gardener and living with his father John 50, a cattle drover, now a widower, brothers Sam 18, a railway engine cleaner, John 16, a railway number taker, Arthur 14, a nursery gardener, Ernest 11, and sisters Elizabeth 23, and Sarah 9.  They lived on Hogg Lane, Radcliffe on Trent.

1911 Census

Age 23 employed as a gardener and living with father John 60, brother Ernest 21, railway engine cleaner and sister Sarah 19, a housekeeper.  They lived in a 5 roomed house on Main Road, Radcliffe on Trent.
