Age twenty-three, a plumber’s labourer, living at the Harlequin with father William, a railway signalman, mother Harriet and siblings Sabina, George, Dorothy Mary, Emma Ada, fifteen, Florence Annie and Arthur Edward. George’s occupation was given as law clerk and all three younger sisters as dressmaker’s apprentices
