Age 5 and living with father William 29, mother Maria 31, sister Lilian 2 and Sarah Handford, an aunt who was employed as a housemaid. They lived at 30 Hodgkinson Street, Carlton.

1911 Census

Age 15 employed as a coal miner pony driver and living with father William a railway guard, mother Maria, brother George age 14, sisters Lilian age 12, Ida age 7 and Doris age 6. They lived at 28 Arkwell Street, Netherfield.

Radcliffe Parish Register – William Handford, soldier married Margaret Elvira E B Lunn of Radcliffe on Trent on 31st August 1918.

According to relatives he lived at 22 Bingham Road after the war. He was injured (but relatives know no more than that). He was a painter and decorator and lived for the rest of his life in Radcliffe on Trent.
