Married Clara Parnham in Nottingham 1914, daughters christened in Radcliffe on Trent, Doris May born 28 April 1917 and Sybil Marjorie 19 January 1921, son David born 15 September 1929

Died 1976. He is buried in Radcliffe on Trent cemetery.

Age 8 months living with father John, self-employed, mother Jane and brother James 4 on Main Street, Saxondale.

1901 Census

Age 10 living at Saxondale with parents and brothers James 14 a farmer’s boy and Arthur 3.

1911 Census

Age 20 living at Saxondale, with parents John, farm labourer, and Jane (Barnard), brothers James 24 now a horseman on a farm and Arthur 13 at school. George is employed as a waggoner on a farm.
