Age 15 employed as domestic groom, living at the Harlequin with father William, general labourer, mother Mary Jane and brother William gardener.

Carpenters Henry Buck and James Dawson were boarding with the family.

1911 Census

Age 25 a shop assistant living at the Harlequin with his parents. His father was a gardener. Thomas Bates, gardener, was a boarder.

The Electoral Register 1914 shows Harry Johnson was renting a furnished first floor bedroom on Shelford Road, Radcliffe on Trent. The landlord was S.H. Knight, the father of his wife Lily Knight.
